The SoulPods are an innovative new product that combine the best of both worlds. They’re a USB sound card with built-in speakers that you can connect to your computer, laptop, or any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Boult Audio AirBass Soulpods, Boult’s newest TWS earbuds in the budget category, were recently released in India, and this is the device we’ll be reviewing in this post. The Active Noise Cancellation technology is included in the earphones, which cost Rs. 2,999. If you want to buy this product, go to Flipkart.com, where you may be able to acquire it for a lower price thanks to different offers. So, without further ado, let’s see whether the Boult Audio Soulpods are the finest cheap earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation.
We say this because ANC-enabled earphones are hard to come by in this price range, and there are only around 3 to 4 ANC-enabled earbuds in this price range. Only a few of these earbuds have a high build quality and excellent audio quality. These earphones are the Realme Buds Air 2 and Realme Buds Q2, which we just reviewed on our YouTube channel. So, can the Bould Audio AirBass Soulpods compete with the finest earphones on the market right now? Let’s see what we can find out.

Design, construction, and sound quality
The Boult Audio AirBass Soulpods made an excellent initial impression on us, and we were quite pleased with the overall design and build quality. In general, most goods in this price range do not have such a high level of build quality. Both the charging case and the earphones have a clean and basic design that looks nice. It also gives the Boult Audio Soulpads a premium appearance. Boult has improved the entire build quality of the earphones in addition to their appearance. The earbuds have a quality feel in the hand, and the aesthetics would have been even better if the branding was a little less prominent.

One of the most appealing features of the Boult Audio Soulpods is their small size and lightweight construction, which makes carrying them in your pockets a breeze. On the front end, there is a tiny LED light that isn’t very bright. The brightness isn’t a problem since it doesn’t detract from the earphones’ quality appearance. On the interior, there’s also a tiny button that’s used for resetting.
Let’s speak about the product’s primary selling point: the earphones themselves. The earphones are not only attractive, but they also have a high-end feel to them. The earphones are very comfy, and their lightweight construction contributes significantly to this. We used these earphones nonstop for approximately 2 to 3 hours and found them to be very comfortable. Furthermore, the earbuds have a good seal around your ears, so you don’t have to worry about them falling out when exercising. The earphones are also IPX5 rated, so you won’t have to worry about spills or splashes.
Connectivity
When it comes to connection, the earbuds come with Bluetooth v5.0, making it simple to link them with Android and iOS devices. The pairing procedure is quick, and you receive useful functions like as Auto Connect/Auto Disconnect. If your phone has the Bluetooth function switched on, all you have to do is open the charging case top and the earphones will connect instantly. Furthermore, when you put the earphones back in the charging box, they will immediately detach.
ANC & Controls
The Touch Controls on the Boult Audio AirBass Soulpods are also very responsive and perform really well. The touch controls cannot be customized, but you can answer calls, change volume, manage the voice assistant, and play/pause music. The ANC is controlled via the control settings on the left earbud. An Ambient mode, a Normal mode, and an ANC mode are available on the Soulpads. All you have to do is touch the left earbud three times to switch between ANC modes.

We experimented with these settings and found the Ambient and ANC modes to be average to good. We tested them in traffic and under a fan in our room, and they performed well. Although the ANC isn’t the greatest when compared to other more costly earphones, it performs well in this price range. After all, it’s a cheap product, so we can’t grumble too much.
Back-up battery
Let’s take a closer look at the Boult Audio AirBass Soulpods’ battery backup. The earbuds have a total battery life of approximately 24 hours, according to Boult, with the earbuds having a battery life of about 6 hours on their own. When the ANC function is enabled, however, the battery life decreases to approximately 4.5 hours, which is still enough. We tested these earphones for almost three days and found that they had a battery life of approximately 20 hours. If you leave the ANC function on all the time, though, you may anticipate a decrease of 4 to 5 hours.
In this price range, the figures are very excellent, and the majority of earbuds have a comparable battery life, which is more than enough for a frequent user. Fast charging is also supported by the case, enabling the battery to be recharged in under an hour. This is why you shouldn’t have any issues with battery life.
Aesthetic Appeal
Finally, let’s talk about the most essential aspect of these earbuds: their sound quality. The strong 10mm drivers provide a booming sound that is neither too loud nor too quiet. The music is not muffled even when you use the earphones at maximum volume, which is a nice feature.
If you’re a basshead, you’ll like the bass output on this one. If you believe Boult has gone crazy with the bass, you’re probably incorrect; the bass isn’t overpowering at all. The bass is decent, however it tries to drown out other sound notes. The voices seem to be crystal clear, and the treble is adequate. The only thing I noticed was a lack of depth in the audio quality. This is a disadvantage, but it’s not a deal breaker since it’s a cheap earphone, and we’ll have to make a compromise someplace. Should You Buy Boult Audio Soulpods?

Overall, the Boult Audio AirBass Soulpods seem to be a solid product, and we had a positive initial impression of them. The Boult Audio Soulpods pass nearly all of the tests, including battery life, appearance, and sound quality. Yes, the earbuds do not support APTX, and it would be unreasonable to expect this functionality at this price point.
Overall, the Soulpods may be a fantastic choice if you’re seeking for an earphone for everyday use such as attending meetings, taking calls, or even casual gaming. The audio quality is excellent, and you will not be disappointed by it. The bass response is excellent, the noise cancellation is adequate, the earbuds look good, feel expensive, and the microphone quality is adequate. Many earphones in this price range don’t have these features, thus the Soulpads are an excellent value for money choice, in our view. As a result, if you’re considering purchasing the Boult Audio AirBass Soulpods, you may do so without hesitation.
